Multimedia storytelling (video, animation — and a podcast)

Here’s where I have the most fun (and sometimes the most frustration :). These are videos I edited and produced myself, though some were shot by a pro photographer. Several utilize remote elements (think: Zoom). Various uses of animation within from intro graphics and reveals to lower thirds. There’s also a podcast at the bottom of the page.

Event intros

Whether it’s a virtual event or in-person, the right video intro sets the tone for a program.

The 2021 Outstanding Women in Business virtual awards program had a “transformation” theme.

The Most Admired CEO program had a “Transformers” theme. Animations and effects illustrate that here.

Profiles

These videos tell the story of an executive who’s won a Lifetime Achievement (or similar) award at one of the Denver Business Journal’s awards programs. Shot by a staff photographer, a collaborative staging and lighting effort, interviewed by me and leveraging some remote elements.

Ceyl Prinster was the Lifetime Achievement Award winner in DBJ’s 2021 Outstanding Women in Business awards program.

Robin Wise was the Pinnacle Award winner in DBJ’s 2021 Most Admired CEO awards program.

News features

DBJ Offices was a fun pre-pandemic video feature that showed off cool office spaces in the Denver area. Here’s Danone North America, known for its dairy-free milk alternatives (soy milk, oat milk, and products made from them, etc.). I hosted and produced this video shot by our staff photographer — I also processed the still images used.

A podcast about weed

Here’s a podcast I produced centered on a panel discussion I moderated: The Business of Cannabis
